Commemorate the Centennial and Save!

Wouldn’t it be great if you could save money on a centennial purchase and at the same time know your purchase was helping save and restore Craftsman Farms?  Well it turns out you can!  We are delighted to offer limited-edition, hand-numbered, high quality chargers valued at $199 each, for $100.  And the proceeds of each plate will be dedicated to support the restoration and preservation of Craftsman Farms.

These 100th anniversary commemorative chargers were manufactured by Lenox using their finest bone china and based on the original Lenox china used in Stickley’s Craftsman Restaurant.  The early 20th century border from the restaurant china circles around the new 21st century image of Stickley’s Log House set into the center. The central motif is a detail of an original block print by Yoshiko Yamamoto of the Arts & Crafts Press.  Lenox recolored this contemporary image to harmonize with the original border and Als Ik Kan imprint.  The back of each 12”plate is hand-numbered and contains a message about the centennial.

 Auguste Delaherche Plates

These plates are a "must have" for any serious pottery collector. Universally recognized as one of the greatest potters of his era, Auguste Delaherche's pottery of the 1890s greatly influenced the early Arts & Crafts designs of the Grueby Pottery, Boston.

Delaherche's floral and plant designs reflect elements of both rustic and Japanese pottery. Produced at his atelier Sables Rouge, Armentieres France, circa, 1900, these stoneware (gres) plates bear a horizontal stamp "Auguste Delaherche" above the production number. Delaherche normally produced no more than eight to ten pieces of each design, with each piece of that design individually numbered sequentially. He recorded number 1 in October, 1896, and the highest number, 7870, dates from 1904.

Called the "Poet of Stoneware," Delaherche fired his kiln only once a year and destroyed every piece that did not meet his expectations, thus ushering in the era of modern studio pottery.

 Edmond Lachenal Bust

BustThis stoneware (gres) bust of a bearded man, circa 1900, is after a model by the sculptor Max Blondat (France, 1879-1925). The lovely antique ivory matte glaze highlights the man's features. Edmond Lachenal (France, 1855-1930) was one of the pivotal figures in the development and creation of Art Nouveau in ceramics. His works are included in the collections of the Louvre, Paris and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

The bust measures 4 1/8" x 2¼" x 2¼" and is incised "Max Blondat" on the front, right side. The signature in glaze on the bottom reads "LACHENAL" with the incised number 3331.
