Description

In terms of their construction both of the corner cabinets made for Craftsman Farms reflect the economy of labor that defines the later work of Stickley’s oeuvre. Whereas early pieces featured mitered muntins that required more labor, the simple, lap-joints evident here allowed for a single piece that could span the entire height or width of the door. The use of copper hardware is also indicative of this later period as his earliest work often featured heavier, wrought iron door hardware.
