What is the Reverse Auction and how can you be a part of it?
The finale of the Harvest Party will be the Reverse Auction (sometimes called a paddle raise). In a Reverse Auction, instead of bidding in competition, attendees bid in community—at any level they choose, from $50 to $50,000—pooling their funds in support of a shared cause. At the end of the auction, instead of one winner, everyone wins. And The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms is the biggest winner of all!
How will the funds raised be used?
Net proceeds from the Harvest Party will support the daily operations of the museum, ensuring ongoing preservation and protection of Craftsman Farms, collections care, a robust calendar of programs, and much more.
Why is this a good way to give?
Making an absentee bid to the Reverse Auction offers our friends, even from afar, an opportunity to a play a special role in the evening, demonstrate support of the museum’s mission, and be a part of our nationwide community. All donations to the Reverse Auction are completely tax deductible (donors will receive a written letter of acknowledgement).
How will your gift be acknowledged at The Harvest Party?
At the start of the Harvest Party’s Reverse Auction, Executive Director Vonda Givens will announce the names of all who have made an absentee bid at any level to the Reverse Auction. In this way, supporters will beat the event in spirit, and inspiring even greater generosity, from wherever they are.
