Parsippany Emergency Food Pantry
Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of giving by bringing canned goods, dry goods, miscellaneous items, or household essentials to support the Parsippany Emergency Food Pantry. All donations will benefit local Parsippany residents and families in need this holiday season. Click here to see a list of requested donation items. A collection bin will be located in The Craftsman Shop.

Craftsmas Open House in Gustav Stickley’s Log House
Decorated based on Gustav Stickley’s own ideas about the holidays as told through articles published in his magazine, The Craftsman, the Log House will be decked out for the holiday season in period Arts and Crafts style! In The Craftsman, Stickley advocated for the use of natural decorations, promoted products and projects as appropriate and thoughtful gifts–from pottery to furniture to hand-made toys–and made recommendations for keeping the spirit of Christmas, both commercially and philosophically.

Holiday Shopping in The Craftsman Shop
While you’re visiting, The Craftsman Shop promises a wonderful selection of contemporary Arts & Crafts and seasonal gifts, and decorations to tickle your nose and delight your homes. Featuring many custom items, including a Motawi Tileworks Christmas Tree Tile in an exclusive colorway.

Craft Activities
Delight yourself in a variety of craft activities perfect for all ages based on the colors, textures, and symbols of the winter season. Keep the finished product for yourself or choose to gift it to a loved one!

Craft Demonstrations
Join local artists and craftspeople in collaborative holiday inspired demonstrations that relate to objects found throughout the museum and celebrate the art of craft in both historic and contemporary forms.

Photo Scavenger Hunt
Families are welcome to participate in the Photo Scavenger Hunt, which highlights objects from the museum’s collection that would have been enjoyed during Christmas celebrations of the time.

Winter Landscape Walk
Away from the hustle and bustle of the holiday celebrations in the Log House, guests are invited to a docent-led stroll across the Craftsman Farms landscape. Learn about Stickley’s ideals about simple, practical living, building in harmony with nature, and self-sufficiency.
