Bring yourself, a friend, or a family member and experience Maker Day in action! Our Maker Day Open House at the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms highlights the work of talented artisans, live demonstrators, and Plein Air painters, celebrating the art of craft in both historic and contemporary forms. Guests are invited to enjoy free admission to the historic Log House and learn about the history of the museum and its collections items. Also tour the North Cottage on the property, which features the museum’s collection of rare green ash furniture.
The Craftsman Shop will be open and offers a selection of contemporary Arts & Crafts, seasonal gifts perfect for Mother’s Day on May 10, and home décor items to delight your home. It features many custom items, including The Craftsman Tile by Pewabic Pottery in three unique colors.
Observe Plein Air painters from the NJ Urban Sketchers Group capturing the lush 30-acre landscape throughout the event, participate in a basket weaving demonstration using natural materials, and get to know four local artisan vendors featuring textiles, jewelry, handbags, and paintings while learning about their artistic processes.
