The frame is a Dard Hunter Studios Oak Park frame made of quartersawn oak. Dard Hunter Studios was founded by early Roycrofter Dard Hunter and is currently run by his grandson, Dard Hunter III. The Signature Finish is a four-step process, the final of which is a hand-rubbed wax, just like was found on Stickley furniture. This gives the frame the patina of an heirloom that will withstand sunlight and wear and provide beauty and enjoyment for years to come.
