Poppy Tile (4×8″)

$175.00

This tile was adapted from an art glass window that Dard Hunter designed for the Roycroft Inn in 1906. William Joseph “Dard” Hunter (1883-1966) was primarily devoted to the study of papermaking. His designs for the Roycroft community in East Aurora, New York, helped define the Arts & Crafts movement in America.

The 4×8″ tile is finished in a Dard Hunter Studios Oak Park frame made of quartersawn oak. Dard Hunter Studios was founded by early Roycrofter Dard Hunter and is currently run by his grandson, Dard Hunter III. Its finished size is 7 1/2 x 11 1/4″.

Every Motawi tile is made by hand and with heart in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
