This beautiful ceramic hummingbird mosaic is handmade by Roycroft Renaissance Artisan Bill Shearrow of Shearrow Pottery. The tile is finished in a beautiful 1.5 inch quarter sawn oak frame.

Bill Shearrow is a master potter, tile maker and educator living and working in Canton, Ohio. He has pursued the perfection of his art by continually pushing the boundaries of form and marrying the surface expressions to the works he creates. For years, Shearrow was the chief designer for Meredith Tile, which closed its doors in 2009. After a few years he was given the opportunity to purchase his intellectual property. Since then he has continued to hand-press art and architectural tiles of his own design, which he finishes with his own proprietary glazes.
