Artist Julie Leidel of The Bungalow Craft was inspired by Grueby’s art pottery from the late 1800s to the early 1900s when she created the original acrylic painting. The colors and stylized tulip were inspired by their pottery. “Bloom Where you are Planted” is a quote by St. Francies De Sales from the 16th century. Many an artist has also quoted it over the years. The essense of the meaning of this quote is, to find joy beneath your own feet, rather than far off in the distance.
